Legacy in Action First Aid and CPR

Training With Purpose

Legacy in Action offers professional First Aid and CPR training designed to equip individuals, families, workplaces, and communities with the knowledge and confidence to respond in an emergency. A portion of each learner’s registration will be donated to Andrew’s Legacy to continue placing AEDs into our communities. By taking a course, you are not only gaining life-saving skills — YOU ARE HELPING CREATE SAFER COMMUNITIES.

Standard First Aid & CPR:

This comprehensive two-day course provides essential first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training for work requirements or who want to be prepared to respond to emergencies at home or in their community. The course meets provincial workplace safety requirements and follows the latest First Aid and CPR guidelines.

Course Duration:

First Aid CPR/AED Level C: Full In-Class – 14 hours or Blended – 8 Hours online learning *online learning time may very depending on individual learners+ 8 hours in -class *in-class does not include breaks and lunch

Course Content:

Participants will learn how to respond to a wide range of emergencies including:

  • Preparing to respond to emergencies
  • The EMS system
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Airway emergencies
  • Breathing and circulation emergencies
  • Cardiac arrest and CPR
  • Environmental illnesses
  • Sudden medical emergencies
  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries
  • Head, neck and spinal injuries
  • Wound care

Certification:

3-Year Red Cross certification in Standard First Aid CPR Level C

Digital certificate will be issues upon successful completion. Learners must attend and participate in the full course and achieve a minimum 75% on the knowledge evaluation. Recertification options are also available.

Cost:

Each learner pays $150 for the Standard First Aid CPR Level C, and we contribute $25 of that amount directly to Andrew’s Legacy to support AED donations.

CPR and AED Training:

This comprehensive course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies, choking for adults, children, and babies. This course meets provincial workplace safety requirements and includes the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Course Duration:

CPR/AED Level C: 5 hours in-class or 3 hours in-class + 3 hours online learning. *online learning time may very depending on individual learners *in-class does not include breaks and lunch.

Participants will learn how to respond to a wide range of emergencies including:

Certification:
